Test type in the protocol

Applies to

A single object

WCAG 2.x (AxisRemedy's informative mapping)

2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) (level A)

How AxisRemedy handles it

Tested by the app. AxisRemedy tests this condition itself. For each document it records passed, failed or not applicable, and for every failure the object and the page.

What the check covers

Tests link annotations; a non-blank /Contents satisfies it. Annotations that are hidden (Hidden or NoView flag) or lie entirely outside the page's crop box are not counted.

Repairs that target it

• Link annotations get a Link element and a description (/Contents)

Repairs are optional. The few that could change how a page looks, such as embedding a missing font, need your explicit consent.
